Melissa Rose Tavner (Melz Rose)
Where are you from?
Australian, Dutch, Paama
How would you describe your style?
I would consider my style fashionable but low key. I like trends but I make them my own. You can’t stereotype me – I won’t be labeled a gangsta or princess. I just wear what’s comfortable and not too out there. At the moment I love the off the shoulder look. I literally have like 20 tops that are off the shoulder!
Where do you buy your clothes from?
I buy most of my clothes from Australia. I like Cotton On but I mostly go to boutique shops. They are different and not too mainstream. To be honest, I am not a brand person. In fact I don’t care what brand the clothing is; I appreciate the type of material more than the brand name.
Who influences your style?
I appreciate everyone’s style but I can’t say there is one particular person who influences my style.
What beauty products do you use?
Mascara is a must for me, I love makeup from Mac. For my hair, I love Tresemme conditioner, especially after I’ve been into the ocean. If that’s not available, I like using Kerastase from Vila Distribution. My last essential beauty product is La Vie est Belle from Lancome – it’s my favorite perfume.
Any fashion advice?
Wear what feels comfortable. It’s not always about the look. The worst thing I see is when people try to dress up as someone they are not. You can tell their body doesn’t suit it, it’s just not in their soul. Wear what makes you – don’t wear something to look like someone else.
