Throughout June 2026, the Sista Program Support Officer and Advocacy and Communications Coordinator continued distributing the From Survival to Strength booklet through disaster preparedness workshops with students at Donna’s Elite Foundation Grammar School and Lycée Français Le Clézio in Port Vila.

Across six interactive workshops, the team engaged more than 200 students from Years 5 to 10, encouraging them to reflect on their existing knowledge of disaster preparedness and identify practical actions they can take to stay informed and better prepared for future emergencies.

The workshops encouraged meaningful discussions and hands-on learning as students explored the booklet and the resources it provides. To support continued learning, each school received 20 printed copies of the booklet for their libraries, ensuring students and teachers can continue accessing and sharing this important information.

In addition, printed booklets and links to the digital version were shared with three additional schools across Port Vila, further extending the reach of this resource.

The Sista Program is proud of the work behind the development of the From Survival to Strength booklet and is grateful to see such positive engagement from students and teachers. Through these activities, we continue to support young people with the knowledge and tools they need to strengthen resilience and prepare for future disasters.
