A representative of the Indonesian Cooperative Council, Siti Rurui Aini, is keen to return to Vanuatu and the Pacific to teach women how to make use of their environment to turn rubbish into cash.

She is an expert at making use of items identified as litter to make useful items for use in the home.

The talkative Indonesian’s offer during the International Cooperative Alliance – Asia Pacific Forum (ICA – AP) at Holiday Inn last week, to train women in the Pacific to learn her skills, is understood to have been well received by the international dignitaries.

A local participant at the forum, Anne Pakoa has welcomed her offer as an ideal opportunity to help mamas and young women to attend her training when the formalities are completed.

Pakoa is currently working on the necessary project proposal for submission to the relevant authorities for approval.
