International Women’s Day may have passed already but the Australian High Commission, Vanuatu is not finished celebrating all of the amazing women nominated for their awards this year.
Presenting to you this year’s nominees for the Hanson Mataskelekele Award for Women in Leadership – outstanding women who are breaking the bias and taking the lead in their fields to promote equality and inclusivity and inspire women, men, girls and boys to assume leadership roles.

Sista was honored to support the Australian High Commission, Vanuatu to collect information for the nominations for the Andy Lynch Award for Excellence in the Community Sector.
Rosina Kaimbang, Losana Natuman and photographer Ann-Ruth Soaram, an alumni from CARE’s Young Women Leadership Program, were proud to celebrate these amazing women hailing from various fields of expertise including health, sports, music, community associations and civil society.
The nominees are passionate about serving others, are committed to building stronger, sustainable and inclusive communities and play an important role in inspiring others to do the same.
