In an effort to beautify Luganville town, the Luganville Municipal Council (LMC) has taken the lead not only to ensure roads are upgraded and plants are planted around the town, but customers of Luganville’s main market will notice market vendors from different rural communities in different coloured uniforms.
“We want to show the Government and our donor partners that we are prepared to welcome tourists once the works on the Luganville wharf is completed,” Mayor for Luganville, Onen Gaviga stated.
The mayor was in Port Vila last week and sought assistance and support from government departments and several aid donors towards development of Luganville.
He also welcomed support from other donor partners and government institutions.
