Vanuatu Tennis Federation (VTF) representative at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)- Oceania Melanesian Championship, Tracey Mawa, secured a bronze medal at the mix-doubles competition and bronze in the in New Caledonia.

Miss Mawa paired with Papua New Guinea’s Jeffrey Loi to secure bronze in the event.

Miss Mawa came in third position overall at the New Caledonia open championship.

This is the first time for Oceania to host such event. It gathered all Melanesian countries including Norfolk islands.

Niss Mawa lost against New Caledonia in the single event. VTF also congratulated Miss Mawa on her achievement.

With the 2023 Pacific games competition up next within the region, VTF interim President, Annolyn Lulu confirmed that VTF will be sending a team to compete in Solomon Islands.

According to VTF, Miss Mawa will be arriving in country this weekend.

VTF further acknowledged Miss Mawa and families for their support towards her participation at the event.
