Mislin Wari’s “Scary Map” is a moving reflection on courage, self-acceptance, and identity. Through her scars, Mislin maps her experiences—islands, ridges, deserts, tracks, and bays—symbolizing where she has been, where she is, and where she hopes to go. Her story highlights resilience, the strength to embrace one’s uniqueness, and gratitude for being seen and heard. 

Mislin is a 17-year-old from Penama who attends Luganville International School and loves playing volleyball.
