Rani Nako

I go to university in Melbourne, Australia, and I’m studying a Bachelor of Animal and Vet Bioscience at La Trobe University. I am in my second year and will finish my degree next year. In the future, I would like to do some kind of work with animals.

Where are you from?

My Mum is from Australia and my Dad is from Ambae.

How would you describe your style?

I’m not sure how I would describe my style. I rarely wear skirts and never wear high heels. I prefer wearing shorts and jeans and if I’m going out I will just wear a nice pair of shorts. I also like wearing gladiator shoes. What I wear really depends on how I feel.

Where do you buy your clothes from?

I buy most of my clothes from second-hand stores such as Stanley Imports. If I am in Australia, I buy most of my clothes from affordable places such as Cotton On, Jay Jays and Factory.

Who influences your style?

I don’t think anyone influences my style. If I see someone wearing something nice, I might try it.

What beauty products do you use?

I only wear eyeliner and mascara. I don’t use any other beauty products, not even on my skin or hair.

Any fashion advice?

Um…I have to think about it.

(A few minutes later)

Nope. I have no fashion advice.
