Tracy Uvoi Namel’s “The Fork and The Laplap” tells a warm and humorous story of cultural exchange. When a volunteer brings her fork to a village feast, laughter and small mistakes turn into lessons about food, community, and the beauty of embracing both kastom and foreign ways.

Tracy is from Seaside, Captain Cook Avenue in Port Vila. She loves reading, singing, and chasing new adventures through her creativity.

Congratulations to Tracy Uvoi Namel for winning the Nabanga Pikinini Prize for Vanuatu Storytelling in the Open Category!
