Angelica Timothy is someone who keeps it real. The aspiring businesswoman and aspiring scientist says that feeling beautiful and loving yourself is not a crime. In fact, Angelica believes that by making an effort to take care of yourself is one of the healthiest ways to get through difficult times and encourages women to wear anything that makes them beautiful!
Name:
My name is Angelica Timothy.
Age:
I am 24 years old.
Occupation:
I am a part time student and full time employee. I am the accountant and secretary of Ninane Construction Company.
Tell us about your family?
I am the second born child of four children in my family. I have one elder sister and two brothers. My mother is a dietitian at Vila Central Hospital and my father is businessman who owns a construction company. And I am a single mom of a 5-year-old son (the only grandchild in our family YET).
Where are you from?
My father is from Santo and my mother is from Malekula but we grew up in Port Vila.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
During my spare time, I love listening to music or playing with my son. Sometimes I hang out with friends.
What do you study?
I am a science student however I am currently studying an online course at the University of Cambridge on Diploma level in Finance and Management in Business.
What do you aspire to do in the future?
In the future I would like to be a successful independent businesswoman like my father. I would also like to continue my career path of science along the way.
How would you describe your style?
If I would describe my style, I like anything that that looks good on me and that is comfortable. Not too big or too small but at least something nice. Most things that I wear are above the knee. It also depends on the weather and on the occasion.
Why do you like fashion?
I like fashion because it helps motivate me. As mentioned before, I am a single mother who was once rejected by someone who I thought saw me as beautiful. When he rejected me and my son, fashion helped me look at myself differently and made me feel beautiful. Fashion motivated me to wear something so that when I look at myself in the mirror, I love what I’m seeing… I love myself.
Where do you buy your clothes?
I am a slim young woman who fits into any clothes. So I buy clothes from any shops or second hand in town that sells clothes that fits me and is affordable.
Who influences your style?
I influence myself on what I’m wearing but I love Rihanna’s undercut hairstyle. It is one of the main hairstyles that I normally do whenever I cut my hair.
What beauty products do you use?
I don’t normally use perfumes because I sometimes got dizzy when smelling it. I only use cocoa cream on skin and coconut oil on my hair. But when I cut my hair, I normally use hair gel.
Any fashion advice?
Women are meant to be attractive and beautiful. My advice is to wear anything that makes you feel beautiful. Feeling beautiful and self-love is not a crime. Wear anything that when you look in the mirror, you see yourself smiling at it. But remember that although fashion can be something that makes you look beautiful, beauty always starts from the inside!
