Fondation Suzanne Bastien Gallery situated on Pango Road opened an exhibition of pacific inspired paintings by Chantal Foster on Wednesday 8th of November at 5pm.
Born in the 1959 in the south of France and daughter of an artist father, Chantal’s artworks reflect her travels and life experiences. Married and mum of 2 girls, professional life took her and her family to South America, Polynesia, New Caledonia where they lived for 15 years and in recent years, Vanuatu.
“Shy and solitary painting is my preferred art form. My preferred medium is mainly acrylic on canvas. I paint on favorites, often inspired by photos and try, as best I can, to share my emotions through the colors and in tribute to life.
Our planet is beautiful, alive and I retain only the positive. I like to paint nature and its grandiose landscapes, the scenes of life characteristic of each country, and the atmosphere that emanates from it.”
“To paint is to give what is best in all humility”.
