The Barrett & Partners T-20 Women’s Club Championship will kick off this weekend with six(6) teams competing in the short format.

The teams are: Tafea Sandalwood, Mele Bulls, North Efate, Paama Sharks, Ifira Black Birds and APT Dolphins.

“The Vanuatu Cricket Association (VCA) wishes to inform club players and new players that training is underway at Independence Park, and all are welcome to attend. We are sending the invite to anyone who is interested and keen to play to come to Independence Park,” said Judy Avok, VCA Women’s Development Officer.

“Our training sessions are 4:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are run by the VCA development team with the help of the women national players, to build confidence and improve cricket skills and techniques,” Avok continues.

Round 1 of competition shall commence this week with Paama Sharks taking on Mele Bulls at the Vanuatu Cricket Ground (formerly Kazaa Field near Korman roundabout) starting 9:00am.

At Independence Park, Tafea to play North Efate 9:00am and 1:00pm, Ifira will take on APT Dolphins. READ MORE
