Vanuatu female weightlifter, Ajah Pritchard Lolo, is fortunate to be part of the Oceania Weightlifting Federation Training Camp in Canberra, Australia.

The one week camp brings together all elite athletes from the Oceania region to prepare for future regional and international competitions.

Vanuatu Weightlifting Federation (VWF) President, William Worworkon, said they were fortunate to get invitation for the camp.

“We were lucky to get invitation from Oceania Weightlifting to attend camp in Australia, Ajah was fortunate enough to enter the camp with her coach,” Worworkon said.

There is high chance Ajah will be accompanied by another female lifter to represent Vanuatu in the Pacific Games.

“It is possible for us to get another female lifter for the game,” said Worworkon

“As we look forward for the Pacific Games, one of the biggest challenge for athletes now is mental preparation not only for lifters but for all Vanuatu athletes.”

VWF is expected to sent four to five weightlifters.
