Committee Linda Kalpoi has confirmed that the next Miss Vanuatu beauty pageant will be held in October 2017.

“The organising committee is delighted to announce the approval of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Trade Industries and Ni-Vanuatu Business Joe Natuman that next year’s beauty pageant will be held in October in support of Vanuatu as the host of the South Pacific Tourism Minister’s and Board of Director’s Meetings,” she said.

“Miss Vanuatu has an important role in supporting gender-equality within Vanuatu; advocates for environmentally-friendly activities and she is a real tourism ambassador for the Vanuatu Tourism Office”.

Ms Kalpoi concludes, “We would like to encourage young, dynamic and brilliant ni-Vanuatu girls in getting ready for Miss Vanuatu 2017 and we look forward to showcase Vanuatu natural beauty, cultures and talents to the World”.

The last event took place in 2013 and Ms Valerie Martinez was crowned Miss Vanuatu amongst a selection of ni-Vanuatu beauties. She then proudly represented the country at regional and international beauty pageants such as Miss South Pacific in Honiara, Solomon Islands, and Miss Asia Pacific World in Seoul, Korea. READ MORE
