Dear Editor,

Something is seriously wrong with our justice system. And something is also wrong with our legislators. For starters, why does a repeated offender such as the likes of Etienne John Samuel gets to enjoy life for free – three free balanced meals every day, meals that would put the daily menu in the average working ni-Van household to shame; a roof over his head and clean clothes; no responsibilities to worry about whatsoever, a free man who is likely to walk out of the Correctional facility in less than 18 years under the so-called rehabilitation system – after murdering his 16-year-old cousin.

Are other parents out there seeing this? This is the same man who was previously charged with sexual intercourse without consent and attempted sexual intercourse with a 5-year-old girl.

Where is the justice?

A Ni-Van Mother
