The appointment of Vanuatu Tourism Office’s (VTO) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mrs. Adela Issachar Aru, as Chairperson of the South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) marks a key moment in the organisation’s course.

This development occurred during a recent gathering of member countries held in Nadi, Fiji, reflecting the importance of collaborative efforts in shaping the future of tourism across the Pacific region.

“These include the implementation of key initiatives such as the Pacific Sustainable Tourism Policy Framework, the Pacific Tourism Statistics Strategy, and the Digital Marketing Strategy, recognising the groundwork laid by the SPTO in charting pathways for growth and relevance,” Mrs. Aru stated.

She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve as Chairperson and conveyed her conviction that collective action holds the key to unlocking the region’s full tourism potential.
