kassao-achieves-prestigious-divemasters-qualification

Yvanna Kassao, a Ni-Vanuatu woman, is making waves in the diving world with her recent accomplishments.

Starting her journey in 2022 at Turtle Bay Lodge in Santo, Kassao has completed Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) open water, advanced, rescue, and first aid courses.

Her commitment has resulted in attaining the esteemed Divemaster qualification, placing her among the few Ni-Vanuatu women to reach this level in Vanuatu.

A celebratory event was held last week at Turtle Bay Lodge to honour her achievement. Originally from Tanna, Kassao will continue her work on Santo Island, promoting underwater exploration and island conservation.

Turtle Bay Lodge, now a PADI Dive Resort, has also secured a scholarship from PADI to train another Ni-Vanuatu staff member, George Vanva, who is expected to excel in his training. This milestone highlights Turtle Bay Lodge’s commitment to delivering exceptional diving experiences and fostering local talent.

“We congratulate Kassao on her outstanding achievement and anticipate Vanva’s future success,” said Turtle Bay Lodge Management. “We’re grateful to PADI for their support and look forward to the continued growth of Vanuatu’s diving industry.”
