Do you have any leftover chocolate in the cupboard? Here is a simple chocolate puff pastry recipe that you can make using leftovers. In this recipe, leftover Easter eggs were used instead of a chocolate bar, but you can alternate it with any kind of chocolate that you want. In fact, you can add whatever you desire to make this tasty treat. Why not add some nuts for a bit of a crunch? Or perhaps replace the scotch finger biscuit with wafer biscuits? Try making it with the kids – they’ll love it!
Sheet of puff pastry
Block of chocolate or handful of chocolate eggs
Handful of raisins
Scotch finger biscuit
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Cut puff pastry on the sides so it easily folds to cover the chocolate
Spread chocolate evenly in the middle
Crumble scotch finger biscuit and sprinkle raisins over chocolate
Braid the puff pastry across the chocolate
Brush beaten egg on top of pastry
Put in a lined or greased baking tray
Stick it in the oven for 25 minutes
Take it out, let it cool and enjoy!
