The SHEFA Provincial Health has released its updated schedule for Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Outreach and Station Services this month, following the earthquake that damaged its Georges Pompidou facility.

To ensure uninterrupted services, a team will provide services directly to communities from care from Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 4pm, and will offer services at its station on Thursdays and Fridays.

On Monday next week, the team will service Teouma Maumau to Teouma Avoca, and on Tuesday, they will visit Rentapau, Range, Tamanu, and Crystal Blue before returning to Georges Pompidou on Thursday and Friday.

The team will visit Teouma Red Ground on the following Monday, Malasitapu and Malapoa on Tuesday, and Selime and Ohlen Nabanga on Wednesday.

They will be at their station on Thursday and Friday.

The team will visit the communities of Manples, Blacksand, Tagabe, Salili, End of Airport area, and Erangorango from January 27 to 29, before returning to its station on Thursday and Friday, at the end of January.

According to the SHEFA Health, their outreach programme provides critical maternal and child health services, including high-risk pregnancy care and lactation support; newborn care, vaccinations, developmental check-ups and parenting support; prenatal care, maternal mental health support, labor and delivery assistance, and postnatal care.

The management team acknowledged healthcare professionals for their dedication and to the community for their understanding and cooperation during the challenging time.
