The Australian High Commissioner, Her Excellency Sarah deZoeten said: “Australia is proud to partner with Vanuatu to support gender equality in all our work. We work with Vanuatu to promote gender equality for two reasons. First, because it’s the right thing to do – gender equality is a core Australian and Vanuatu value and a human right. Second, it’s the smart thing to do. When women participate in the economy and in leadership in all levels, families, communities, and nations are stronger economically and socially.”

These awards are a collaboration between the Australian High Commission and the Lynch and Mataskelekele families and this is the tenth year of this long-standing partnership.
