Vanuatu’s women’s beach volleyball team has secured their spot in the final knockout stage of the Palau Mini Games after a commanding performance in the semi-finals yesterday.

The formidable pair, Sherysyn Toko and Majabelle Lawac, showcased their skill and teamwork by defeating Guam’s Mendiola and Serrano in straight sets.

They clinched the first set 21-14 before sealing the match with a decisive 21-13 win in the second set.

Their semi-final victory follows another dominant display in the quarter-finals, where they overpowered the Solomon Islands pair in two straight sets to book their place in the last four.

With their sights now firmly set on gold, Toko and Lawac will look to maintain their unbeaten run as they head into the final showdown.

The nation rallies behind the team, hopeful that they can bring home another medal for Vanuatu at the 12th Pacific Mini Games in Palau.
