Registration is now open for the national U-19 women’s cricket trials, the Vanuatu Cricket Association has announced.

The trials will mark an exciting start to the new year and a key step toward the team’s first-ever international competition.

“The trails will identify talented young female cricketers to represent Vanuatu at the 2026 East Asia-Pacific (EAP) U-19 T20 World Cup Qualifier to be held in Papua New Guinea in April,” the Vanuatu Cricket said in a statement.

“The winner of the event will qualify directly for the World Cup. Vanuatu Cricket is calling on passionate, committed, and driven players who are ready to challenge themselves at the highest level.”

Female players born in 2007, 2008, 2009, or 2010 are eligible to register.

The trials date are January 12 to January 14 at the Vanuatu Korman Cricket Grounds. Warm-ups are scheduled at 9am daily and pickup and drop-offs will be organized.
