Round 4 of the Barrett and Partners Women’s T20 Cup saw APT Dolphins, Ifira Blackbird and Mele Bulls win their matches convincingly.

At the Vanuatu Cricket Ground (near Korman roundabout) Dolphins (1/200) had an easy win over North Efate by 126 runs. Selina Solman had a good knock of 139 off 65 balls supported by Rachel Tari (12) and Junane Wakamune (13).

In reply North Efate got to a good start with Mahina Tarimiala smashing a quick 32 runs but got little support and were bowled out 74 runs.

Mele Bulls (3/174) showed no sympathy for the young Tafea Sandalwood team as they thrashed them by 84 runs. Bulls skipper Lemauri Chillia 74 (42), Leimara Tastuki 36 (45) and Valenda Langiatu 18 (14) proved to be too good for the bowlers. Tafea displayed some fielding attack but wasn’t enough to stop the Bulls trio.

Sohina George (17) and Junane (22) took some resistance putting pressure on the Bulls bowlers but wasn’t enough as they were bundled out for 90 runs. Belinda Chillia 3/16 and Lemauri Chillia 3/16 were pick of the bowlers.

At Club Hippique.Ifira Blackbird (3/210) defeated Paama Sharks by 128 runs. Winning the toss the Sharks decided to bowl. Blackbird captain Rachel Andrew smashed a massive 97 off 40 balls supported by Stella Sokomanu (15). With a target chase of 210 to win was too much for the Sharks as they were bowled out for just 82 runs. Maylisse Carlot (15) and Judy Avok (31) scored double figures however wickets continue to fall with destructive bowling attack from Kyla Niras 4/10, Delma Lauto 2/26 and Rachel Andrew restricting the Sharks from scoring the runs.
