The Etas alleged abducted and murder case was adjourned this week because the prosecution is still waiting for more DNA results from the crime scene.

The report is not clear but Daily Post can confirmed that the case is pending as some significant reports must be filed before the case can proceed for plea.

This adjournment marks the fifth adjournment from the Magistrates Court to the Supreme Court.

Mrs. Bertha Pakoasongi told the Supreme Court that the confirmation they are waiting for should be made available before the next plea date on October 2, 2018.

On Tuesday, the courtroom was packed with relatives of the victim who came to hear the plea.

Bob Robert who is being held in custody for the alleged abduction, rape and murder of a six-year-old girl was taken back to the Correctional maximum facility to appear again for plea next month.

His lawyer said that they didn’t have any problem with the adjournment.

Robert is facing one count of unlawful entering a dwelling house, one count of attempted entry of a dwelling house, one count of abduction and two counts of aggravated unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under 15 years.

He is also facing an additional charge of intentional homicide.

The incident happened on April 18 this year at a secluded area near the victim’s house in Etas.
