Four bus/taxi drivers jailed earlier this month following the assault of Florence Lengkon, are appealing the sentence handed down by the Supreme Court.

The legal counsel representing the four men told Daily Post that the appeal is being prepared calling for a shorter and suspended sentence for the defendants.

Pierre Noal, Ben Koro, Glen Kovoi and Michael Samuel were all sentenced to up to 2 years nine months imprisonment.

Daily Post was informed by the legal counsel that generally the appeal will claim the the sentences imposed on the kidnappers are manifestly excessive and should be suspended given existing precedent. READ MORE
