November 25th was the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It is also known as White Ribbon Day.

This year, the Ministry of Justice through the Department of Women’s Affairs will collaborate with NGOs and stakeholders to organise different activities to commemorate the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign. The event will end on December 18.

Vanuatu will join many countries around the world to advocate and fight against violence and all forms of discrimination against women and children.

The theme of this year’s event is, “From peace in the home to peace in the world – make education safe for all”.

Here are some photos of the launch of 16 days of Activism.
