The Vanuatu Rowing Association will be holding two programmes from January 27-31 at the Port Vila Rowing Club in Tassiriki. The fist Row Like a Girl activity are the daily Learn to Row and Fitness sessions for women. The Learn to Row sessions will be run from 8am until 10am every morning, Monday to Friday, and from 4pm to 6pm every afternoon from Monday to Thursday.

These sessions are open to all women, of all ages and ability and fitness level. The goal is to have some fun and try something new for 2020. These Learn to Row sessions are FREE, so please ladies come and try rowing!

The second Row Like a Girl activity is a week long Talent Identification Rowing Camp for girls aged between 12 and 35 years. The program will run from 8am until 4pm from Monday to Friday.

The goal of the week is to get more young women engaged in the rowing club and participating in the women’s squads. We are hoping to identify new girls who may wish to try rowing, get competitive and even represent Vanuatu in rowing one day.

The week is all about women’s empowerment with education sessions each day which will include information on healthy lifestyles and why sport is good for women. Participation in this camp is FREE, and we hope to see lots of young girls rowing!

We ask that participants wear clothes they are comfortable getting active in and bring with them a change of clothes in case you get wet, along with a Hat, water bottle, Socks and a Towel and snacks. The Port Vila Rowing Club is located at the bottom of the Holiday Inn Golf Course, Tassiriki. Follow the Vanuatu Rowing Association on Facebook to find out more and get in touch.
