tanna-woman-blind-for-4-years-regains-sight

A woman from Tanna who hadn’t seen for four years has regained her sight this month after a visit by the Vila Central Hospital Ophthalmologist Medial Team two weeks ago.

According to one of the supporting nurses who accompanied the two eye doctors, from Port Vila and Santo, emotions were on display at Lenakel Hospital as the blind had their sight restored.|

“For many of them, this truly feels like a miracle,” she said.

Coordinator of the  VCH eye clinic in Port Vila Danstan Tate thanked the New Zealand Fred Hollows Foundation for funding the trip and added, “Together, we can make a difference, with the right support, we can ensure that everyone in Vanuatu has the opportunity to see clearly again.”
