The CEO of Pacific Sexual & Gender Diversity Network Isikeli Vulavou, based in Suva, Fiji, has come to the aid of LGBTQ+ members in Vanuatu by asking the Vanuatu government to reconsider its recent Council of Minister decision on the LGBTQ+ community.
“We strongly urge the Vanuatu government to reconsider its stance on LGBTQIA+ rights and to engage in meaningful dialogue with all members of society, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and organizations,” said the CEO.
“In the context of Vanuatu’s commitment to uphold international human rights principles, including those affirmed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, it is imperative that every individual is granted the freedom to express their identity without fear of retribution or discrimination,” the PSGDN
