On Saturday 12th November, the Vanuatu Surfing Association (VSA) team headed down south to the Enarawia Community (Whitesands), Tanna, to run a comprehensive surf development training program with a focus on the inclusion of women in the sport, educating on sustainable surf tourism and conservation of our coastal environment.

To say it was successful would be an understatement! The community was very receptive and equally curious and enthusiastic about the sport and it’s positive impact.

Over 20 brave mamas and girls took to the water during the week long program which was made possible with the support of Bank South Pacific, Vanuatu Ferry, Law Partners and Greg and Elizabeth Pechan, and donated equipment from a very generous global surfing community! Follow the VSA’s journey on Facebook and check out their women’s development program, Solwota Sista.
