The Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) yesterday announced the women’s senior squad for this year’s Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Nations Cup, which will be held in Fiji next month.

The team features a solid lineup of defenders, including Annie Gere, Nelly Kaltack, Limas Erikan, Nellie Vuti, Neoline Erikan, Noella Metoriki, Gaylindrah Tari, and Wiline Viti.

In midfield, Vanuatu will be represented by Jesta Toka, Angeline Poida, Valerie Viralolokwai, and Fevie Siehi. These players are expected to bring creativity and control to the center of the pitch.

The attacking force includes Jane Alatoa, Rita Solomon, Augustine Mansale, Leimata Simon, Brenda Anis, and Henriette Sangul, who will lead the charge in front of goal.

Guarding the net will be goalkeepers Vanissa Wilson, Flavia Peter and Amelia Reddy.

The squad is preparing to represent Vanuatu on the regional stage. They have trained alongside the Penama Tiger men’s team at Korman yesterday.

According to VFF, the session focused on helping the women’s squad respond to the men’s strong and sharp challenges, providing a high-intensity, match-like training environment. The experience is expected to boost the team’s physical and tactical readiness ahead of their upcoming competition.

The team will compete in the regional tournament under the guidance of the Head Coach Jean Robert Yelou, Assistant Coach Nesta Saul, Goalkeeper Coach Wilson Marango, Team Manager Justina Rono, Team Administrator Yannick Jimmy, Physioherapist Sumbe Selon and Media Officer Yoshiyuki Takahashi.
